• This calculator helps you find percentages in two ways:
  • Calculate a percentage of a number: This finds out what value makes up a certain percentage of another number. (e.g., What is 20% of 100?)
  • Calculate what percentage one number is of another: This determines what percentage one number represents compared to the other. (e.g., 25 is what percent of 100?)

How to Use:

1. Open the HTML file: Save the provided code as an HTML file (e.g., percentagecalculator.html) and open it in a web browser.
2. Enter Numbers: You'll see a webpage titled "Percentage Calculator". There are two input fields labeled "Enter a number".
   • In the first field, enter the number you want to use as the base value (the whole in percentage terms).
   • In the second field, enter the number related to the percentage you're calculating.
3. Select Operation: There's a dropdown menu labeled "Operation". This allows you to choose what you want to calculate:
   • "What is % of ?": Select this option if you want to find out what percentage the second number makes up of the first number. (Example: What is 20% of 100?)
   • "? is what % of": Select this option if you want to find out what percentage the first number represents compared to the second number. (Example: 25 is what percent of 100?)
4. Click "Calculate": Once you've entered your numbers and chosen the operation, click the button labeled "Calculate".
5. View Result: The answer will be displayed in the paragraph below the button labeled "Result:". It will show the percentage value along with the "%" symbol.

Example:

• Enter 20 in the first field and 100 in the second field.
• Select "What is % of ?" from the dropdown menu.
• Click "Calculate".
• The result will show "Result: 20%"

This means that 20 is 20% of 100.
